Electronic Prescription Service

The Practice is now able to send most NHS prescriptions to your chosen Pharmacy using the Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS). If you regularly use the same Pharmacy and it is able to receive prescriptions this way, via EPS, then all you need do is to sign up to the service. This process is called 'nomination'.

You can 'nominate' your usual Pharmacy either by telling us or at the Pharmacy itself. Either way your choice is simply recorded on the computer, after which your prescriptions are automatically transmitted to the Pharmacy electronically - no paper prescription is required. This is a quicker and safer system and we highly recommend it. 

Not all Pharmacies are able to use the EPS yet, and a few NHS prescriptions are not suitable for EPS; please ask the Doctor or Pharmacist if you want more information.
